Sponsored by the largest printing technology research institute in China, the China Academy of Printing Technology, and the media group Keyin.cn, the Green Printing in China 2011 Green Awards are given to companies at the discretion of a panel of industry experts.

The Green Printing in China 2011 Green Awards featured eight major categories including, “Green Elite,” “Green Supplies,” “Green Printing,” “Green Equipment,” “Green Company,” “Special Recommendation,” “Most Popular in Internet,” and “Green Promotion.” Kodak was one of ten companies that received an award in the “Green Equipment” category, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to improving sustainability in the printing industry.

The Kodak Prosper 1000 Press Platform was selected for the “Green Equipment Award” because it delivers high quality results using water-based ink. In fact, Prosper Press Solutions use proprietary micro-milled pigment inks that provide outstanding permanence. With Kodak’s revolutionary Stream Inkjet Technology, the Prosper Press Platform also recycles up to 95 percent of this ink in a continuous loop. As part of the activities associated with the Green Development Forum, the Green Printing in China 2011 Green Awards ceremony was organized in response to China’s growing movement toward greener printing.
